    Re: happy new year

When it is unexpected it is always hardest... my ex bf broke up with me this summer, all of a sudden... one moment all was brilliant, the next moment it wasn't... Transpired he suffers from depression and when a depression hits he pushes everyone away... I had not experienced that yet and although I was totally gutted at the time, I am now glad it happened when it did, fairly early on in the relationship, as I know I could never cope with someone who pushes me away like that at regular intervals...

What I am trying to say I suppose is that there is always a positive side to something negative, even though it may not be clear right now...

That is exactly how I felt earlier this year... I got over it though, eventually. Nothing a bit of serious fell running cannot sort! We were supposed to go on a little holiday to the Lakes, for some fell running, and he broke up just before that. I decided to go anyway, on my own, and ran 59 miles and ascended 27.000 ft in 3 days and was feeling a LOT better after that
