OMG! And I thought I was hard by running through a stream today and getting the top and laces of my mudrocs frozen!!! Interestingly, my feet stayed warm! Thank God for woollen socks, that stay warm when wet

Nope had the shoes off and everything! Trousers rolled up and in we went! Was a good laugh but my God it was freezing! Funny how it was only the girls up for a paddle though

Quite a few people over here go for a swim in the sea on new years day, for charity. Is this only a manx idea or does it happen else where?

Several in this part of the world, spread over xmas day, boxing day and today. The one at Great Yarmouth today was called off though.

Yeah, actually me mum and dad got married in and lived there for some years, its not really a bad place

Although this sickness bug has gone through all of us its been lovely being off work for a week or two. In all Christmas has been quite nice but my how quickly it goes by.

Yes thanks - not looking forward to going back to work monday though - it's been lovely not to have to think about it and to spend some time in the hills - had a fabulous day last tuesday - crisp and icy, desolate and peaceful.....the thought of a stuffy office was the last thing on my mind
