Fell down the stairs on Saturday after a real long day of moving house and sprained the ol' ankle. Couldn't move it first thing Sunday so missed Long run. Now better but feel slight achillies pain - Will not be training today then. Bugger. Already missing the endorphines.
Does anyone else get moody if they don't run for a bit?
very much so!
I only had a day off yesterday and already can't wait till tonight!
One hour running round the local countryside. Lovely warm sunshine.![]()
Must have been a lot of rain in the hills last night - the Bollin was about two feet higher than normal.
Was expecting to see Macc Ladd float past in his garden shed any minute!![]()
I used to be really narky when injured and unable to run Twister.
I eventually realised that if i wanted to continue to have a bit of stress relief and continue to stay healthy even when they are injured i'd have to adopt different types of training.
I'm injured again at the moment, but right now i feel like i'm floating on air having just knocked out a mile of front crawl at Heywood baths.![]()
Rather than knock out 15 miles onthe roads I went up into the fells for 1hr 40.
Just the little fells North of Skiddaw but challenging nonetheless.
Skies were clear all day in Carlisle and as i ran, there was lots of clear blue sky over Scotland but looking South I witnessed every shade of grey hanging over the Lake District. Blencathra was magnificent with it's summit appearing to suck in the rainclouds from all around like a 3000ft vacuum cleaner.
Lots of puddles, lots of mud, lots of overflowing streams, lots of steepness, no people, and lots of fun
4.5 miles from white coppice upto heally nab then back through the cricket ground with the other half.
I'm enjoying my running at the minute, but don't seem to ever progress, will I ever get any better?![]()
9miles and 10 x 3minute intervals, 1 min recovery
felt okay as well
14x400 round and round the track. God i miss running on the moors. Knee still too sore.![]()
