Was thinking about joining the FRA so this would probably kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Does anyone know if this counts for an affiliated club for non fell races?

It depends whether the club pays the £5 levy to UKA.

I tried in trail shoes 2 year ago and it was one of my biggest mistakes in this sport.
270's for me last year and will be this year.

We used trail foxes a few years ago on the PPPYR and although they were pretty good for the run in they were destroyed by the time we got down.

If you are going straight up and down then you need grip

Mudclaw 330s for me.

Offer plenty of grip and support on the rough stuff. (Usually Struggle down Red Burn though )
