    You think too much
    What's a committee? A comfy settee or is that a sit-com

Could be some mileage in this! I was a member of a caving club, where the proposer downed a pint, then the seconder, then the nominees, then everyone who voted, then the sucessful candidate. Things like Mud sec, and beer sec

Thanks to all the organisers, helpers etc who gave me and all the other anarcho-fatties the chance to inflict real pain on ourselves and hold hands with The Master.

I know you put these comments to get a reaction so here have one!

I love you and everything you stand for one day you will be a pony!

Err no to the Pony bit and regarding the love bit you may have to fight Merry for me !

My only concern as i have expressed in the past is would be if the Ponies use their overall moniker to get benefits fee paying club members get when they themselves take pride in the fact they are not constituted and are free spirits who enjoy the fells. I did wonder if there was a higher entry fee in this race for what are essentially unattached runners but i could only find this.

"Teams may be made up of runners from different clubs but such teams may not be entered under a club name ,the organisers should be made aware that the team entered is a composite team and any such team will not be eligible for prizes or leg records"

Which I assume whoever put your entry in took notice of, though I don't think there is much to worry about in terms of prizes or records. (Though surely a fell ponies recording of "Born Free" must surely be on the cards in the near future).

It does make me smile when I see the the group slowly coalescing in a club, however good luck to you and whoever wants to be a pony.

Regarding another point about pint downing at committee meetings, I think you will find that this practice is called a circle and is used across the world at Hash House harrier meets. I really enjoy hashing as an outsider but they claim to have similar principles to the ponies and are one of the most rule bound masonic groups I have come across. (But they are great fun).

It also makes me smile when I see how touchy some free spirits are, none of you should care what I think.

There said my piece on this (again) will not respond to any replies/abuse on this on this thread. You can however PM me if you feel the need.
