sorry to the 3 clayton runners coming up from dean clough res today, dogs were bit hyper as they hadn't seen a soul for nearly 2 hours..

90 minutes gentle waddling in light snow with a little ice underneath.

yesterday's run was cut from 6 to 4 miles after the route i took went through some deep snow and ate into my available time...good fun though

11 steady-ish hilly miles on road first thing today..some very icy..then straight onto turbo for 30 mins 2 x ramped effort + 1 x 5 mins constant effort then warm down...total time...not telling

some one took the easy option then....

Dark peak race shortened due to the amount of snow on the hill

8 miles 2,000ft of steep snow covered heather over open moor land. it was so hard, i was near the back but It mush have been really tough for the guys at the front who had to break trail.

Snow depth varied from shin deep to waist deep if you were unlucky. some scary descents

thought it would be a good idea to go playing in the snow, went up to wimberry and over to alphin from my house, just over 11 miles, but by eck the snow slowed me down, deep drifts up on the top, felt like captain scott, cant really be described as a run, more of walk, tumble, fall over, knackerd now though

    Tuesday 7.5 miles on road
    wed-fri rest
Today 16.5 miles over west pennines moors-bit of snow that smoothed out most of the tracks to give good running. Most of the time had a blue window in the clouds directly over head. Good views to the snowy hills to the east and south.

Sounds like someone took the daft option...

See you at Bolsterstone tomorrow...if the race is still on the road by the res' is a bit tricky

    It was great wasn't it

The descents were pretty awesome - someone in the pack chasing Nails observed "we were messing about like a bunch of girl guides" at the foot of Berristers. No comment!

Slow gentle 3.4mi road run on some hilly roads, just easing my knee back into things.

Halfway round had a great 'ninja' workout at a park: 80 burpees before a steep hill climb ain't the best idea I've ever had!
