Fellmonster, Twig how did you get on yesterday.

Had a tough but pleasant run myself. Ran the 2nd half of the course, with only the 1 moment of navigational anxiety - hitting Edale cross (not literally !!!) before dropping down into the village, where I bumped into Stringman, back up onto Lose hill and was within sight of Win hill summit before tiredness hit me. Walked more than ran from there back to Mam tor car park.

If anybody wants to car share (from east manchester) and isn't in a rush after the race send me a pm and I can pick up en -route or meet.

Will somebody remind Fellmonster to bring his fell shoes on the day

Doesn't sound much like the Skyline route as I know it Manhar.
Were you running it in reverse? How many times did you run up Lose Hill?

No Stagger. Lots of people with Manhar's surname have the problem.
It's called a pattellar tracking disorder!

    Swoop, Stagger

Just for clarification - after reaching Edale cross I should have said I proceeded along the skyline route and then dropped down into the village from Ringing roger.

    Yeah, apologies about that Manhar.
Ended up trotting over Winter Hill instead. Less than 10 minutes from Edale when I realised. What a plonker! Glad you still got out though.

The more I think about it the more I fancy having a go at the 'down and up' return to Ringing Roger from Grindslow Knoll but don't fancy being the only foolhardy soul (idiot) to try it.

I wonder if I can persuade enough 'middle pack' forumites to join me and have a go at it?

It may or may not be 5 or 10 minutes quicker or slower - to be honest 10 mins either way is not going to affect my position much - I just think it would be good to say I'd tried it...

Hi Mountain Hare ( or should that be MAD MARCH HARE )
Good to see some runners taking a bit of a risk/adventure. The route choice seems to be a big decision. It's a bit late for a reccie now so it will be a gamble.
Last year only 6-8 runners tried it and of those most were in the top 30-40. There may have been one or two others that slipped past that i didn't notice in the clag but I admire your ambition.

I will be on Grindslow (as I was last year) so I will keep a tally and report back after the event.

    Watch this space....
