Good race this one.
When you hit the flat after the big descent your legs go.
I managed to make another 6 places up from the bottom of the descent to the finish.
Cracking atmosphere when i did it, steel band banging away

Right, I'm in then.
Still worried I might get lost though.
Thanks everyone!
I will get lost. I'm a girl, it's what we do.
I can get lost in a supermarket carpark trying to find my car.
It says there is a cut off point of 1 hour 15 from the start to the pony path on the ascent. Does anyone know how far that is?
Bearing in mind this will all be uphill, is this a hard time to achieve?
There are people on the results from last year taking 3.5 hours, so 1 hour 15 to get half way seems quite quick?? Is this cut off time a new thing?
Cheers.
dropped my entry in the post yesterday - looking forward to it already
High Cup Nick for me this weekend, then thinking of Ras yr Aran in March as a good way to kick off my training
I ran cader in 2008 and reached the cut off point 55mins but still finished 2hrs 42ish not last
GO for it great atmosphere in the town
you wont get lost, most ly road and track to start and then laidstone
path and some scree near the top
canbe dodgy coming down

Ran this one last year-lovely day, great atmosphere in the town-like other found the final road section tough-it's longer than you think-so worth saving a bit for the end.
Do people run up it the whole way?
I'm sure I'll need a sneaky walk now and then.
Can't really see me legging it up there without walking some of the route up, but I'm scared I'll get binned for being over 1 hour 15.
I'll run down!!
Hi Amber
Just to give you an idea... my 10 flat time was 1.15 and I did Cader in 2.11 Completely ran out of steam at the end though as it's surprising how far it is back to the town. One of the best races i've ever done. Don't think i'm doing it this year as it clashes with our club 10m You should definately do it - it's a GREAT place for a weekend break
Ooooooh.....that means I'll take about 3.5 hours then!!
As long as I finish, and don't get binned at the 1 hour 15 point.
Got 3 months to do loads of hills.
Thanks everyone!
