I seem to be suffering from perpetual doms, doing these pushups every other day... bliddy hard they are, I feel like I am never going to get back to a semblance of my former self and I only dislocated my shoulder mid August, so that is only half a year of no upper body work at all... I have become such a weakling!
Mind you, getting a dislocated shoulder to heal completely in 6 months isn't half bad... and I did my own re-hab![]()

I love the doms (now I know what they are!): means it's working. No pain, etc.
You've done well with you're shoulder, H. I'm sure with more of your determination you'll soon find you're making good progress!![]()
Feeling wrecked from last night still, dont think im going to quite manage 26 max at come tomorrow.![]()
It suggested I start at week 3 based on the initial 25 I did, however I struggled with Day ones plan, only just completing the requirements for the first 4 sets and maxing out at 15 in the fifth set when I should have reached 17.
We'll see how day 2 goes on thursday.
Another session completed:
To be honest it was a bit tough, although perhaps the schedule is not designed for a fifty year old who is also knocking off 50 miles a week running.
Another factor is that I was straight off an hour steady run with only ten minutes stretching before the press ups.
Anyway today’s session was:
Week 3 Colum 1 Day 2: 10 – 12 – 8 – 8 -13
I only realised when I came to log the workout that I was allowed 90 secs recovery, I only took a minute![]()
