Any news from the Peak overnight? What's weather been like? Hope the bog monster's not been too bad!

Saw a lot through at Snake summit, one or two obvious face plants.
Weather over night was claggy making navigation "exciting". Heavy underfoot conditions tough.
    Well done to all.

Forgot to mention I picked up a red glove in Hern Clough and handed it to the marshals a Snake summit.

    Well done Team Girlie Wurleys
Believe they had a Fell Pony and a Calder Valley Girlie Wurly in their ranks

Found that really hard going, Not sure what I expected but found it tough to say the least. Thankfully with a team who knew the route well so the only thing to worr about was keeping going.

    Weather worse than expected.

Well.......... that was a peat fest and no mistake. Our team finished on a disappointing 13:10 as one of our team members wasn't quite honed to HPM perfection . We also went on a two mile detour in the zero visibilty overnight and then trusted IanDarkPeak (whose team we bumped into) to take us through the famed 'north west passage' off of Bleaklow... which he did but just not in any way that could adequately be called a short cut

The terrain just has to be the toughest there is; its not about climbs but just mounds and mounds and mounds and mounds and mounds of peat!

Iain you went like a train - it was great to have you on the team.

Well done to all you HPMers.

Well done to the Vasque winners but nice work by the High Peak Rollerbladers- you all looked very fresh within spitting distance of the finish.

    Again, well done all.

Cheers Grouse, I thought it went well, we all seemed to have low points at different times which meant there was always someone to keep the pace going and push us on. From 3 am until the Snake I wasn't feeling too good at all but was just too scared to lose sight or I'd still be up there now..awesome knowledge of the route.
