You must have put a lot of cheques in the post this morning. (Is mine on its way?)

Well done to Chris Miller and Quentin Lewis who would have sorted out first and second between them but for some joker moving the arrow and flags the opposite way.

An apology from me because I should have known we'd gone the wrong way.

One of my favorite races and which has a lot of what is great about low key fell races.

Oh dear Ogden, a poor weather prediction by yourself and then the wrong route on home soil.

I hope your having a fine evening Sir and enjoyed your run all the same.

    Re: Windmill Whizz

Im guessing of a record field of 121 about the entire first quarter to a third turned right on to the road section (including myself despite having run it twice before). I did stop for a brief debate with the group I was in but opted to follow the crowd, which was a shame because they didnt and ended up in the top three! - (though in doing so ensured that everyone behind them followed suit...well done Mr Collins). I ran about half a mile the wrong way before the runners ahead started turning back so didnt go as far wrong as most. Im guessing the guys at the front went alot further than anyone, maybe over a mile, as they were still behind me at the finish, .

Anyway this was caused by some "hilarious" prankster not only turning the arrow sign to point right but removing and replanting about 20 flags to run down the road the other way (which is what convinced me the route had been changed). It must have frustrated the organiser more than anyone but couldnt detract from my enjoyment of this very down to earth and super friendly race.

If the front of the field went wrong, how did the middle and back of the field go the right way?????

I was in no mans land and still followed what the organiser had said about left left left and follow the arrows.

Still a testing little course and thanks again for a good morning out.
