    Working today

so went for an early morning blast up Cutgate. weather was perfect cool ,no wind bright and sunny with stunning views, ground was mainly dry...........ish

decided on a fast race pace as conditions were so good, and knocked just under 4 minutes off my pb for the climb from the irongate carpark to the cairn.

Reached top just before 8.00am wearing a vest and shorts. Heaven

3.8mile 900ft 34.20 mins, the return trip took 27.40 which means I just missed out on the hour for the round trip of 7.6 mile 1000ft.

Got to be a target for later in the year.

But got to go to work now. So if any one is on Win hill or Lose Hill later this afternoon watch out for me

    Re: Today's Training

Well in the interests of keeping my mileage up without eating up anymore valuable 'I should be doing the washing up, hoovering the lounge, mowing the lawn, mending the door, ironing my shirts, emptying the dishwasher and generally doing the fcuk what I'm told to do' time, I caught the 6:02 train out of Skipton this morning and hopped off at Shipley.

I then ran the canal tow path all the way to work in Leeds - 13 meandering miles all told. Flat as arseholes but still a lovely run. Unfortunately my wheels fell off at about the 9 mile mark and it became pretty tough going. Hopefully its just as hangover from all the running I've been doing lately........... or maybe I'm just getting crapper

A couple of hill reps, about an hour's run - down to Hepworth village from home and back. Perfect sunny day , bodes well for Fiendsdale on Sat (the weather, not my performance that is). Hard to believe we had sleat and snow t'other weekend...

    Re: Today's Training

Just getting over a beast of a cold but went for a gentle 5 mile hill run yesterday and felt OK until I got back and stopped and then my chest rebelled.
Some topless hill work on Pendle today - 5 climbs, and again, did not feel too bad until I stopped and then had a coughing fit that brought me to the edge of being sick.
70 miles on the bike in the morning and then straight up the hill for a run when I get off (avoiding stopping too long to confuse my chest). Hope to still be alive for weekend - then again I'm working all of it so not too arsed.
