Looking forward to this one IMMENSELY! As I was raised in that part of the world (god's country) the Bowland fells were my first ever fells I walked on. Never raced there so chomping at the bit. Weather forecast suggests that it'll be good as well.

    Magic.

    Hope you enjoy it jodg

It's a pity the old course has gone as it was a CLASSIC. I still hope it may be resurrected one day.

    Ta Fellhound!

A couple of things to ask you:

    1. How did the old course differ then? Is there a map of it for interest's sake?
    2. Why did you change your nickname?

Great conditions today for the race. The early mist was mostly gone by the time the race started. I suffered a bit on the final climb up Parlick but otherwise enjoyed my first run of this route. My thanks to the organisers and marshalls who must have enjoyed the nice weather as well.

Thoughly enjoyed watching the suffering today, and took some pics to prove it

Photos not great as I was a bit chilly at CKP 1, and too busy sun bathing at CKP 8. Wheezing Donkey, Pacman and Al Fowlup in the background. We created quite a chorus of "encouragement" I felt.

Well done to Danny, awesome run, he was so far ahead it was amazing. Great run.

    Oh pics are on http://picasaweb.google.com/pudgyfat.../Fiendsdale09#

Really enjoyed the race today, ideal conditions once the mist cleared. Many thanks to the organisers, marshalls and Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (my old mate Pete Watt would have loved it today, God bless him). I hope you are able to run the event next year, it's one of the best!

Couldn't agree more Ian! "God, you look ill!" at CP8 was the pick of the bunch if I remember correctly.........

Good to see you today, it's been a while. Great pix by the way bud, they're in focus at the very least which is better than many!

Really enjoyed the race, all credit must go to Mr Farmer and his team of helpers for negotiating the access rights with both EN and also Wild Bill Hickle, sorry, the new gamekeeper. Hope they now see what a good bunch we all are.
