lots of birds today curlew, lap wings, a pair of Buzzards by Back tor. I got to the other end of lady bowyer to see lots of Wooley anaraks, tea cosies, binoculars and monoculars there was a twitch on!!! I asked and a pair of Goshawks were pointed out to me, cool....

coming back over Back Tor later I saw what I'm presuming was another Curlew but this seemed huge and was much greyer. very long downward curling beak?

Went for a walk on Monday evening from Barden Bridge hoping to see some Sand Martins but no luck. Saw what I think might have been a Woodcock fly over as I got back to my car just as it was getting dark.

Back from skiing where we saw loads of Alpine chuffs, A woodpecker down in the valley,
a huge Bird of Prey which could only have been a Golden Eagle it was high in the sky floating on the thermals. I've seen loads of eagles around cham in summer but this was the first I've seen this early in the season. A Chamois (spelt correctly I hope) near Les Houches
