Josh will be doing the junior race.
Not sure if i can be arsed doing the senior race.
I'm far too slow and don't fancy getting said arsed kicked by Rossy juniors with scores to settle(JJ)

No entry fee, no prizes and a creme egg for everyone, plenty of stiles and mud, not a lot of climbing, out and back route, well flagged, be prepared to carry a cag, races for juniors, 6.45pm prompt start for seniors, juniors go straight after the seniors. Two race lengths for the juniors. Not a bad little race for one of the first evening races of the season, usually a good turnout.

excellent question from Ady in Accy........entry is free.....this is just one fell race of many that Rossendale Harriers promotes or provides assistance with ( see Most successesful(l) fellrunnin(g) club thread ).
Runners folding numbers will be frowned at, Norman Bates will see them in the showers later on...........

What's the route? I assume it will take in Whittle Pike?

Same as before I assume ,bottom of Cowpe Lowe then up to Whittle, then descend to the concrete bridge, climbing the slope opposite (firmly gripping the bardred wire fence). The run -in is by the old waterboard house then bomb down to the cricket club.
Should be flagged this time, so everyone don't just follow M.Aspinall to see were he goes........
