I take it most of you are not familiar with the Petzl Ultra, the Hope Vision 4, or any number of mega MTB lights?

I won't be spending that kind of money but it is not such an unusual price if you want the (current) ultimate.

Has anyone seen the new Silva Alpha headtorch? It has two arrays of LEDs - one for flood at your feet and one for distance (150m!). Costs about £300 with Li Ion battery.

Looks like yet another new leader could be emerging....
