I would like to THANK every marshall that stood out on that course today, even the one who stopped me. You were all BLOODY BRILLIANT.

37 seconds but rules is rules, at the time I was gutted but afterwards I realise I would have been meeting Edale MR (Also a BIG THANKS to those teams)

I have learnt a lot about myself, the elements and the course from today which I know will make me a stronger runner and a better person.

I've had a kick up the back side and a slap down as well.

Great respect for everyone who took to the start line and the gifted ones who completed the whole race.

lovely and horrific,couldent put it any better ,i must admit the jack in demons were playing with my head at brown knoll ,but soon kicked them into touch .certainly character building. thanks to dark peak for organising the event and thanks especially to the marshalls .

Well, I have to echo everyone's thanks to all the marshalls and helpers on the course today. Thanks also to the Mountain Rescue, it sounds as though they were kept fairly busy as well. Everyone really did an incredible job in atrocious conditions.
I don't know how bad conditions can get in a fell race, but that has to be getting up there. I am about 13 stone and I was almost getting blown off my feet, all those of a lighter build must have had severe problems.
Well done to everyone, whether they finished or not. Just to be out there was a great experience.

Hi Stagger , sorry you didn't make it and that we didn't meet up. Edale MRT ran the show did the bulk of the work and had assistance from Kinder MRT( I believe) and Myself Woodhead MRT. I hope they made a bit towards there new base.

There will no doubt be a debate on here about whether this race should have gone ahead in its full route. The fact that Mountain rescue took loads off the route and some with Hypothermia shows that its a topic worthy of debate

As far as I'm aware there were a total of 7 people treated and 'helped' off the hill. As for whether it should have gone a head we are all big boys and girls and should take responsibility for our actions. If it had been shortened then we would have had a number of runners complaining.
People were given plenty of warning at the kit check tht the conditions were severe, I couldn't believe that a few runners were trying to get a way with a basic pertex, no long thermals and four jelly babies!!! Were they mad. Most runners saw sense and took good kit and they looked better for it near the end.

In years to come you'll turn up at race wearing your tatty old grey Skyline 2007 t shirt, You'll look around and see the respect in peoples faces and hushed whispers , You were there...

Well done to the organisors they have put a lot of effort in over the last year and in the end it all went well

absolutley loved it
the force of the wind picked me up a couple of times and the conditions were manageable but only just
going up to brown knoll my fingers were so numb i couldnt get my food out and i started to worry, the kind marshall gave me some lucozade and i perked up, immedatley ate 20 jelly babies after knoring the plastic bag with my teeth, jackie lee came past me and i tagged along to the top, thanks jackie for that.
found running in shorts okay, the pain was theraputic in a way but def could have done better with more quality gloves.

my thanks to the marshalls, mountain rescue and all involved , excellent , best organised race ive attended.
i have run in similair conditions but not for that long, met some forumites as well, hope you did okay.
dropped into a waist bog at one point and started laughing at the situation, 60mph wind , snow, shit, despair etc etc , thats what i call living

if the majority of the population want to sit at home and read the sunday papers, let them carry on

Couldn't agree more with the congrats for the marsalling/organising team!!
Amazingly well done under the circumstances......a lesson to all us competitors: it wouldn't happen without 'em.

Managed to chug all the way round today.........not sure that I saw any other option, really..........facing the trek back to Edale seemed an awful prospect!

Thanks ++ to Mr. Chugger who also braved the elements and didn't laugh too much as I tripped over the tape marking the final descent..........I was NOT in control of my legs and they appeared to tangle themselves very well indeed!

Well done to all who had a go today...really was a complete racing "experience". I'll send some soothing vibes into the cybersphere for all those delicate journeys down the stairs in the next few days!!!!!!!!!
