On the no shows - I know of one who went down with the flu the night before because I got a text letting me know (I was going to try to get him to show me the way round as he'd recced it). I've spoken to him today and he was gutted to have missed it...there's some odd folk about!

On the Lucozade pouches - I saw two and did think what the f**k, but then again I was in just the right sort of mood to be annoyed; taking rubbish off the hills isn't much to ask though. Putting things in perspective compared to the South Downs the Skyline was in pristine condition.

As for the frozen appendage problem, I was seriously wondering if I might do myself a permanent mischeif as I slogged up towards Brown Knowl (one half of my face had also gone numb); the four and a bit hour drive back home with the heater blasting out lovely warm air seemed to do the trick.
