    I never rest the day before, but depending on the race, rest the day before the day before if that makes sense. So, Wilmslow Half last sunday I rested Friday and ran 30 mins Saturday with some strides. If the race is important then I wouldn't plan a big recce the day before.

    I try to have at least a very easy run on every day
    Frequent but moderate workouts on a consistent basis are the key to success
