I loved that hat ! Fortunatley I had my Buff with me so had to make do with that until the finish. Felt really strong all the way round which is unusual for me, I usually cramp up badly on these longer races.
Hope you are all feeling o.k. and ready for tonights training session !

I picked a few up yesterday morning. What does it look like?

    Good evening AndyJ,
Re your hat finding trip, you didn't come across a dark blue woolly hat, with Half Man Half Biscuit written in yellow, by any chance? Or even a light brown toupee?

    Hi Andy

Bit of a busy day on Sunday, I hope thats not a typical day in Edale.

If you find a Black Lowe Alpine mountain cap in Grindsbrook It's probably mine. It's similar to the issue one.

I also saw a buff, a few beanies and a jacket go that way...

They did, They helped Edale at JL to evacuate the six runners via Hayfield, I did mention Kinder were assisting on an earlier post, but it is always worth mentioning. Another was evacuated from Grindslow, Edale also had I believe another two incidents on the same day as the Skyline! It's a good job they had all those Landrovers.... Or was that another thread.

I'm told that Buxton were also out that day on a different call.

    Re: edale skyline

I bailed out at Jacobs Ladder, its taken me till now to get over the disappointment and post!!

My race was a disaster, went over on my ankle, cramps, dizziness and drowsiness - luckily both hamstrings cramped as i climbed the stile at JL and i had to stop cos I was gonna carry on.

They offered me a lift with the mountain rescue but for some ridiculous reason I declined and walked back to Edale! It took me ages and by the time I got back I was near to collapsing. Couldn't open the gates cos my hands had seized, so had to climb them which meant another cramping screaming session at each one!!

Anyway, purpose of my post was to congratulate all of you who made it round and a huge thankyou to the marshalls.

    Cheers!
