a)leave the blister plaster on and just go for it.
    b) pop blister and put new plaster on ?
So you've got Compeed / similar on it? If the Compeed is staying put and you can run on the blister leave it alone, don't aggravate it. My experience of trying to replace Compeed is that it takes the whole blister off and you're left with a new (and painful) problem. If the Compeed has been in place since the weekend the chances are the blister has gone down underneath it, and last you want to do is disturb it. I only speak from experience of heel blisters, so take my advice lightly.

agree, if you can currently run on it then leave it, if not, take off the plaster, bleed it with a needle sterlized in a flame, put some antiseptic on it, try and let it dry out as much as possible before the race, then tape on the day (you may have to bleed it again first) using zinc oxide or hypaflix type tape

did anyone use a camelbak/bladder in previous years? ive been thinking of using a bladder instead of the usual pb bum bag with water bottle stuffed in it, which is always a fiddle to get to, any pros or cons?? i struggled with dehydration last year thats why the thought of changing? dave

I've seen plenty of runners especially in 2nd half of field (my environment ) using bladders. Probably good idea if hot although 'sloshing' noise they make drives me made.

Got a tight calf and off to physio tonight. Whernside climb is hard enough without a niggling injury

    hi egor

there seem to be a lot of drinks stations and the option to send your own drinks to 2 of them (guess partly cos not really any streams on route)

i've done a couple of LDWA with OMM pack with platypus in it -
    pros - constant little sips
cons -rucksack gives me a bit more chaffage (also not knowing your about to run out)

you can get bottle out of bumbag when walking/crawling up hill and swap it over at the 2 own drink, drink stations.

haven't tried bladder in a bumbag.
