I cannot make the event this year and i have a trophy for the first novice (??) to return. If there anyone living in the Penrith/Keswick area who can take it to the race for me? Or is anyone going to Lords Seat fell race (29th april) who can take it to the race for me?
I hope you all enjoy the race this year and it is not as hot as last year
Hi Steve
I'd be happy to return it for you Steve. I'm based in Greystoke and drive through Threlkeld several times a week. Please PM me if you want me to collect the trophy from you

Hi all,
is anyone from Surrey/London/the south east doing the Fellsman who fancies sharing transport? I really don't want to drive all the way back on my own on the Sunday! Happy to take my car or help you drive yours...
cheers,
caroline
Caroline if inevitably you end up driving back on your own, make sure you have a kip first and stop for cat naps on the way from time to time. When I'd finished the High Peak Marathon (a 'mere' 43 miles) I only had 85 odd miles to travel home but I must have stopped half a dozen times. Just sitting in the car too didn't help, given that my muscles seized up somewhat too.
for the 300 g of emrgency food, what have people taken in past, usually id take flapjack/chocolate or something, but hopefully i wont need it and will stay in my sac, any suggestions? cheers dave
cheers ian, good idea
Under RULE 6 a) runners will be disqualified for 'receiving assistance of any kind inc food, drink' etc. Is this ruling strictly enforced? I'm injured but plan to follow the route round to 'support' people taking part (obviously including forumites) but don't want to do anything to cause anyone to be stopped
