Thoroughly enjoyed the race - well worth coming up from Wales for. Should have read the map a bit more closely as I was expecting another climb towards the end but the downhill was great fun!!

Love the Border terrier snap. Is it a pup?

Pics show Simon Bailey first towards the finish but I notice Ian Holmes is missing.......was he already past for the win? He seems to have the ability to skin everyone for close on a minute on the descent to the finish off the Old man...fair dues

Missed IH over the bridge as he must have crossed the beck further up and came running down the gravel road, he had gone past before reliased it was Ian!!!
Would be interesting to know where he crossed over? Anyone know

I reckon it's around GR293981. Just by the last small gate before the miners bridge there is a stile to the left. The river is about 2m wide and I think it was passable on Saturday. I don't think it's any quicker though, but it does miss out those final nasty tree roots (and Mrs T, the photographer)

Mr Bailey really hasn't found his form since taking last year off.....when was the last time (not including the recent half tour of pendle) that Ian Holmes hammered him by nearly 2 minutes?
