    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Last night my bike decided to kill itself.

I was cycling along home from work and i could hear something hitting the spokes of my rear wheel. I looked down and couldnt see anything so got off and and checked.
Turns out it was my derailleur (sp?) catching my wheel....how i do not know....perhaps somebody has kicked my bike whilst it was locked outside during my skift.

I tried to straighten it and pull it back into line. I thought i had solved it until i changed gear, the derailleur hit the spokes and since i was going fast it ripped itself off.
It is now rapped around my bike and im snookered.

Wont be able to get to the bike shop for the next few days because of exams, and i need my bike to get to work.

Heres the damage...it wont let me upload them via the attachment thing so ive put them on piscasa.

Split yer chain, ditch the knackered mech, rejoin your chain, taking out a few links to tighten it up, and go singlespeed. You'll now tell me you ain't got a chain splitter
