Not had chance to get to the shop yet, im hoping to go for a fancy carbon....the waiting list is currently till the end of june, and by the time i get there they are bound to either sell out of go up to July or something like that.

The guy at the shop was brilliant. I walked in...pointed and that bike and more or less did it little britain sytle "i want that one".
I told him i know nothing about bike and he spelled everything out for me, didnt have a clue what size cassette to go for so im getting 12-25 (i think)....is that good?
Guna have wait till the end of june but hey ho.
My god its going to be a learning cure when it does arrive......the weight, the pedals...the shoes....the gears....the handle bars.....the riding style...the brakes.....if i dont crash and die within the first few goes i will be very supprised.
Thankyou to everyone who ive irrotated asking for help....you'll probably get some more down the line.
Just typical for me as well....im right inbetween sizes for shoes. A 46 is too big and a 45 it abit tight around the outside of my foot....do they break-in at all?

Just dont strap your shoes to tightly at first or you will start to hurt.
It wont take you long to get used to it.

Manholes/Grates etc
One thing that takes a bit of learning is the concentration thats required for hours when your riding.
Make sure you spec 2xbottle holders for your drinks. Perhaps a pump holder and small pack to put your innertubes and tyre levers in.
Never replace an innertube without checking your tyre inside for sharp objects. ( everyone does at first then sits at the side of the road ringing a taxi because the fresh innertube has immediatley gone flat)
Always inflate your tyres 120psi
This will make your ride enjoyable/ Nothing worse than riding on part worn tyres.
You will need a good track pump.
Get a helmet/ ensure its not to big and fits correctly.
And bib shorts are a must for comfort.
There are a zillion tips but thats just a few.
If you need info etc. Just ask.
Oh your 12/25 cassete is fairly standard.
I mentioned pedal float for 'Fowlers Knee'.
Practice unclipping at junctions and traffic lights 'cos its sooo embarassing to fall over sideways still clipped-in
A decent pair of shades keeps the bugs/grit out of your eyes.
Ozzo sell really cheap neoprene overboots which, lets be honest, are very useful but not attractive so cheap is best.
At the risk of people thinking 'b*oo*y ta*t would say that' be careful not to get lubricant onto carbon surfaces as it can seriously reduce life expectancy.

Just counted mine Al, its 11-26 I think.
Did 18 mile to work this morning and same home this afternoon.
Really pleased with myself.
Tough coming home though with the wind and tired legs.
Averaged 16.1 mph going and 12.8 mph coming home.
1400 ft of ascent each way.
Knee feels OK.
Need to get out more now if the knee doesn't swell.
