It looked good if you were a P&B fan.

were all left in their wake.
Enjoyed that today,my first English championship race.Been full of cold for about 10 days so had very little in the legs going up.Decided to wear my Walshes which was also a mistake.Don't wear them often enough to race in.Felt like i was running bare foot on some fast rocky (ish) descents, and my feet were crying out for some support. So ended up limping on the descents.
Thats enough of the excuses...race was one of the best marshalled and organised events i've done, well done and thanks to Mercia fellrunners.
Just a shame about the weather.
Oh no. I'm going to be in trouble.
Was "Holmesy" fifth?
What about women?
Great little race! Half a Mynd but twice as nice! Like the way the weather copied the usual February full Mynd conditions! Streams in full spate, gloopy mud, skiddy rocks and a stretcher case....hope whoever it was is OK. River for leg wash at the end was warmer than the lashing rain....quite tempted to go for a swim!
How many forumites there? Saw Chris, chatted with Welsh Harrier and Long Dogs but not sure I would recognise others.

Pictures of most of the runners in the race are up on my site. Due to a camera fault I missed a group of runners in the Men's race.(Rain and digital cameras are not the best of friends)
