    Re: Today's Training

Remember how i said yesterday that i wouldnt be doing owt much today 'cos i was going to work at Barrow?
Well I thought to myself 'why not shove the bike in the van and stop on the way home for a bit of a ride around the lakes'?
So I did just that. From Coniston to Torver -Broughton - Ulpha - Eskdale -Hardknott and Wrynose then back to Coniston. No idea how far this was, took 2.5hours going steady.
    A truly wonderful day.

17+ miles over the downs this am (7.00 start); windy and chilly but very enjoyable...sun trying to break through by the end as I ran down through Wild Park.

    Cheers - Raymond

Legs a bit wibbly after Fiendsdale but went out for a slow recovery run - ended up doing 7 reasonably quick off road miles River bank paths/woods and fields - still lots of mud although a flat run but think my legs appreciated it!!

Yay Half Mara PB yesterday at Wilmslow!

1:23.58 Pb by 5 mins so well pleased with it!

Legs a bit sore today, thou the shin prob I've had for the last week seems ok and certainly not any worse!

in w**K early this morning 6:15 (yawwwwn) but it means I get to finish early so hopefully the weather will be a repeat of yesterday and I might consider an easy hour or two on the bike!

Last night's core stability training involved me, doubled over the toilet spewing my guts out for about half an hour at 01:30 am last night. Last week has been such a strange week. I think it might have been the litre or pure purple grape juice (Welch's) on offer in Asda for £1.28, which I drank pretty quickly. Such a shame.

Well the session went well - how can you be seemingly doing so little yet sweat SO much

Warm up followed by hill reps on the treadie, then lots of balancing on 1 leg!! (then the other leg!) Trying to get my rubbish muscles and knees to go the way they are supposed to and work on core stability etc. Thought he was trying to kill me off with the abs work - nearly hit him!!!
Back on the recliner bike for more glutes/quads/ wongy knee work then lots of stretching - phew need a lie down, alas off to wrestle the delightful shoppers in Tesco
