    Re: Hendersons End

When myself and Nick Leigh reached the marshall near the the mast we were told to follow the wall untill we get to the next marshall, when we got to the reservoir we realised something was badly wrong ! so over to Two Lads ,up to the Pike and back ,what would have been around 38 Mins ended up being nearly a hour, anyway got a good workout
No complaints , had a great night ,thanks to all.

Being the brilliant descender that I am (NOT), it did seem odd to be overtaken on Georges Lane - thought that maybe you'd been caught up in traffic. Was it a good pint at the Black Dog?

i'h heard that they were still waiting for a few runners to come in!

been up there tonight and didn't see any runners with numbers on. Did see a hare up there near the mast. Now that was ironic, you know the one about the tortoise and the hare. I'm not saying that Blackrod Lad is that slow mind, but you get the point.

when you came hurtling down towards me at great speed near the kennels, in my tired state i asked myself was it 2 laps? no, that man in the tri vest must be doing a very hard session on his own on the same night as the race!

Then as I surpassed myself and broke the hour mark, who comes flying in seconds later at top speed but the young tyro himself - yes - Al Fowler
Irony on top of all ironies - please refer to page 1 or so of this thread to get a full description of the route by..... yes you've guessed it...

Great stuff.. at least the midgies weren't out in force like last year.

2 lads next week should be a bit more straightforward.

Hahahah im quite honoured by your description on me.

But!!! with the route description that i posted at the beginning on the thread....i wrote it different to what was the actual route when you get to the top of Winter Hill.

Still, witty post and made me smile

Not compared to last year!! this year was unpleasant - last year was unbearable. Got a few bites that i only noticed on saturday, not too bad.

Well it was roughly accurate - a few lefts that were right but does that matter between friends? - to be honest it sounds like our normal Thursday night run on Winter Hill - we never know where we are going or will end up.

Ha well i still enjoy myself.
Was slightly pee'ed with with myself how i could go so wrong and throw away my position but ive got over it and moved on.

Its quite a good feeling though, even though they where the very most back of the pack...to thunder past them.
I need to apologize to the two darwen dashers who i gave a fright going down the zig-zags....they where trotting along and i came flying down like an idiot and i dont think they really expected it
