You went wrong Ian? Ha ha
That was the best trunce since the classic stream crossing a couple of years ago. I had mud up to me chin.
I was speaking to a guy before we set off who said this was his 31st Trunce and the first one in the rain!!
Thanks to Col for "splashing" me in the second stream crossing - i was soaked

that wasn't rain that was a washing machine

I noticed the farmer had been doing work in the field just before the descent to the second stream. I had my head down against the rain following a runner in front who was following...etc only realised when we started going up again!!!! lots (20+) went wrong a most turned back where I just went straight through the wood which was a bit dicey. probably lost 30 seconds or so It's a pity there were no cameras about as the shots would have been amazing.

    Hot and humid this morning.

What a great race. The thunder really added an apocalyptic feel to the evening.

I too took the scenic detour round the woods but ended up flying into the river a little way upstream from the crossing where it was quite a bit deeper than I expected!

Looking forward to the next one.

It was fantastic, best Trunce I've done to date! Yeah so I got a bit lost in the woods but who cares really it was just good fun. Nearly went for a swim along the farm track on the way home... must remember to pack my snorkel for these races!

You can email them to [email protected] and I'll put them on the site.

PS It was relatively warm and dry sat inside Andy's van while everyone was getting soaked. The results sheets are almost dry now too.

Didn't see anyone with a camera last night??? Just a few sodden spectators trying to make the best of the monsoon!
