    Re: Fell Ponies??

Just had a BRILLIANT weekend, Helped out on Iain Kelly.s successful BG round (leg4 with Dale and Ken) .Entertianed all the time by Nee Bother, actually got a lovely piece of cake of Emmilou(in Wasdale) and a very welcome Newky Broon ale off my mate for life Merrylegs on reaching Honister, Bloody marvellous. To top it all off a promise of two home made cakes for BG relay from MrsC , and also nearly got to drive lantern Rouge's Jap supercar back to Keswick, I liked the air vents in rear wing,,,,,,,
Shame we missed DonKarlo,s finish but my lift was leaving, I did get brownie points for getting home early though,,,,,in the bank......

Just need to add, that Nee Bother's and Dale's evening before preparation for an early start (up at 6am to get to Wasdale) were not what I had in mind,, after Iain came into Threlkeld at 10.30ishpm we went to pub until midnight with Pete Beer in tow, Pete then drove to Buckinghamshire(not drinking obviously) for family reunion before going back to Singapore. We went back to caravan, kettle went on then chatted until 1am, they moaned at me for wanting some beauty sleep, and for anyone who saw me on Saturday knew I did not get it.... at least Nee Botter was a gentleman and never moved from his side of the bed...............

    Glad you enjoyed the cake

Thanks to Mr C for the liquid refreshment back in Keswick. Good to hang out with Mr and Mrs C and Merry before they had to make the drive back home again.

Ended up doing leg 4 friday then legs 4 and 5 together on the round so about 30 miles and 15,000ft of climbing done in the 2 days - practically half a BG I'd say

... and you think they are rust don't you!

Those vents become crucial to the aerodynamics over about 120!

Good to see you mate... what a day eh?

We need some more days like that.
