Nice little race, steeply up through the woods, then less steeply across the moor on good grassy running, then down, not very steep on very fast paths and tracks. Well worth it.

if you are back this eve pudgy, give us an tournament update if you can. I've got some friends from chapel a doing the series and with no phone cover I'd like to think they were enjoying it!

    hope you are too.

Very warm out today for the race. There was a bit more interest for me this year as shortly before the organiser started the race I noticed I had left my ring of checkpoint tags back in my car (Theres always one and it was my turn today! ).

Quick sprint back to the parking field hearing the air horn going off for the start of the race almost immediately.

I got back to the start and I was already breathing heavily as I slogged up the track to try and catch up the other runners. I did find the race hard work this year especially with the handicap start !

Nice to meet dylan from the forum who was sweeping.

Thanks to Bingley, the organiser and marshals/helpers for their efforts and I will be back again next year hopefully with my tags on the start line this time .

Fraid I'm not doing it, Daleside, so I'm as in the dark as you are.

I could only write about how much fun the up hill only road race is, 'cos I was sat in my front room with a tin of ale.

    well run alf.
its always tempting to shoot off at the start to make up the lost time but you seem to have paced yourself well.

we think we have secured the ttt for the future by a bit of delegation and manipulation.

my thoughts are with a bit of tweaking sat race would be ideal as a championship race!
    what do you think?

Excellent news on securing the TTT this series and the Midsummer Madness series are for me a bit special in the Fell Running calendar.

I think it would make a good championship course.
There is enough climb for a good medium race but I think you would need
to shorten it a bit to qualify for the medium rating (under 12 miles ?).
I am selfish though and wouldn't like the course to change as its one of my favourites now .

Daleside, there was couple from Chapel A, the lady won the 3 day TTT prize. Can't recall their names though, am sure results will be out soon.

    With regards

Thank you to everyone who ran and everyone who helped - including our excellent sweeper on Saturday! Well done for coping with your pre-start issues, Alf; it's certainly one way to warm up!

Results will be up today or tomorrow - depending on whether I fall asleep in front of the computer this evening!

Raced for the first time as a vet 40 so thats probably the reason why I managed to get something, which will be drunk tonight with great delight.

Thanks to organisers for a great weekend to to my mate for the 40th birthday treat
