Sounds like Mark is running well at the moment. I really hope he manages a good race at Hard Rock.

This keeps coming up with "Microsoft JET Database Engine" errors (which is typical, but not exactly useful).

Apparently the race starts at 1300 UK time.

I was interested to see that Mark has come across Gerry Roach ..... V accomplished high-altitude mountaineer, although I know he runs too.

I've since heard from Gerry: his missus Jennifer is doing the HR: Her number is 176. Mark's is 137.

MH says: "Race starts at 06.00 Friday US Mountain time. That's 13.00 Friday for anyone in the UK. There is a Hardrock live runners site that intends to post aid station times - keep in mind this is a loooooooong run so there will be long gaps and also that, if I am running smart, I will not make any kind of push until after Ouray."

Mark in 7th place, through Sherman at 12.40 pm, 28.7 miles in.

Diana Finkel is now an excellent third!

Mark now 8th and has passed the Ouray aid station at 56 miles in 14.25 (the race started at 6.00 am Friday).

XRunner is right, Finkel now third and has passed Telluride aid station after 72 miles in 23.31.

Mark's target was to do sub 30 hours.

Let's hope he can hold it together.
