    Re: Fellrunner Mag

I thought Helen's Whittakers letter may invoke some comment. I thought it was worth saying, a bit ranty but fair enough really. I do think runners need to take more responsibility when they enter races, at the moment I think too much is taken on by RO's.

Didn't think Jura was too bad though.

Just one man's opinion but does anyone else think that with 2 legs of the UKA hill relay champs being 5.25miles/1280ft & 4 miles/1250ft it's a case of disappointing route choices.....why don't we just do a few laps around heaton park and be done with it? It is supposedly in Ennerdale is it not?

It may be because some bright sparks complained about there being only one leg for u/18s. Anyway you wont be running

well knowing the area I think theres some good routes around Crag Hill about that length, so might not be too bad at all FM.

    Re: Fellrunner Mag

Erm...as a complete newbie..is the FRA for everybody interested in fell running or is it for fell racers?

Just asking, cos I'm happy to stump up my pennies, but if the mag is full of stats and results, rather than helpful articles for every shape size and level of runner, then is there another mag out there?

    Thanks

Whilst it has stats and reace results there are lots of articles of interest to everyone.

Yep, quick look in the latest FR has about 23 articles, ranging in subject matter from the 3 mile bunny runs to the 24 hour plus rounds, and lots of less specific articles. Plus 25 pages of results

Is there anything for (whisper it) trail running...jsut being realistic as I cant get to the fells every week, so short of running up and down Incombe Hole and Ivinghoe Beacon, I cant think where mI can find the "elevay-shun

sometimes there is something trailish and i dont mind it. In fact i run my best races on a 400m track not the fells. Runners World isnt bad for trail running though.

Whats wrong with running up your stairs plenty off times. Unless it would annoy the neighbours
