Snowdon Race

is anyone tappering or taking any time of training for this, usually before a longer race (16-20 miles+) id take day off, but ive been debating whether to still go for a run or out on bike on fri. which ever i do i expect ill still be cursing at some point in the race wishing id done something different training wise this time.

Did my long weekend run on Sunday, Trunce race Monday night and a short 30mins trot yesterday. Nowt planned and enforced rest until Saturday with my feet up as much as poss.

It's obviously a different sort of race to a 3Ps event but I don't think resting up is a bad idea even though it's only a **short**() 10miler.

Hello All ,

I just pulled this of the Met office web site for the Snowdonia area .

Saturday
After a dry and bright start it will cloud over, with rain moving in from the west at some point during the day. Winds, mainly light in the morning, becoming gentle south to southwesterly in the afternoon.

I'm doing stipperstones fell race (AS) in shropshire tonight as a warm up for the big event on Saturday .

Really looking forward to the weekend .

Pinno , if you can take your camara that would be great . I don't think Al Tye is doing Snowdon this year . I'll ask him tonight .

Will try a run tonight to see how things are then decide in the morning wether to run on Saturday or not.

Al Tye is attending another race Saturday I think? so if I don't run I will certainly be taking the camera.

I may take my phone/GPS/camera thingy and see if I have time to take some shots on the way up/down . It would give me an excuse to have a rest

I've been struck by flu sumptoms 2 days before the race and its not getting anybetter so Im reluctantly pulling out. Anyone know what to do with my entry and If I could give it to somone else. Any one interested????

Weather looks good. No-one should get lost anyway!!!

Not racing, but heading up to watch. I'll be the one with the grumpy four-year old wanting to go home and saying "This is boring, can we go home now?".

Kids eh? What do they know??
