My first Snowdon Intl and it was FABULOUS! Went over for the day with Alphin, Fleeter and Fleeter's dad. All of the race is a blur in my mind today (must have been good!?) but the aching quads are a reminder. I seem to recall it was bloomin' freezin' on top. Very happy with my time and place (a shade over 1h 30m, 86th) = beginner's luck?Got to meet IainR and Pinno (at last!).
Oh, and I wish they'd sort out some rules for 'rights of way'. Masses of walkers and spectators out, an accident/argument just waiting to happen...
In the car on the way back it was a sorry site what with the cuts, blood and having to stop at every services for a certain member of the gang....
Sorry to learn of the tragedy on the hill. I did see a runner down with MR erecting a tent around him and administering first aid. Hope he got off the mountain as well. Does anyone know if the fatality was a runner on the way up or down?
