    Re: Silva LX Headtorch

I got one last year from www.sailgb.com like Joe for about the same price. I agree, it's a good bit of kit, and not let me down. I carry the battery in one of the hip pockets of my rucsac, but the disadvantage is that I have to remember this when taking the bag off. The big advantage is not having the weight of the battery on your head, so it's very light and hardly feels you are wearing it.

    Spyros, darling, NO!!!!!!!
Please pppplease don't start this thread up again for another year, it got so very tedious last time and life is too short.
You'll only get the tecky types all exited about ambient temps and battery terminal resistance and stuff - just buy a reputable brand and keep running.

    Re: Silva LX Headtorch

Has anyone got the upgraded version (LXII) and had reliability problems with it, or were those teething problems that were fixed in the LXII? I'd like one of these if they're reliable now, but if not I'll probably settle for the Myo XP belt. I'd rather have the brighter light of the LXII, but it's not very bright if it's not working is it? I'm hoping to drag harrymoon & Idler up into the woods in the dark this winter...
