I used to knock about one on the (road) hills around my hometown when I was in my late teens, but I've not been on one since...... (bike that is....)

    Thanks for the offer Han

Sneaked out on the crosser for 90 minutes of mud, blood, boggy moors, stony lanes and swampy tracks. Got bollocked off the wife when I came back due to mud on kitchen floor (that was after I'd hosed myself down outside)

Ahhh, that is the bliss I am going to undergo in a few minutes, once I have closed up and gone home and get myself onto the bike

Not that I have anyone to tell me off to make my house even more muddy

    The delights of being single!

Yeah. Coppice, Kings Highway then left toward the bottom of Hambledon then a push + carry to trig, down, parrallel track toward golf balls, down the moor and back toward moleside and down various tracks to Arden Hall.

Done about 60 (dry) miles including a lap of the ironman UK cycle course (112 miles - approx 36 miles x 3).

Some very very fit people out there today. Great support for all the riders and good crowds heading back to Adlington and Rivington.

(and if anyone wants a collections of drinks bottles there are dozens around the course!!)

Will go into Bolton later and watch the end of the marathon.

I have got a compact and I am not afraid to use it! (To get up the Devil's Staircase)

130 odd kms and about 3000 metres of ascent...

Fan bloody tastic ride, I tell you! Wales is so incredibly beautiful... more about the route and a link to pictures to follow, as this was a TdG style ride. I was even wearing my King of the Mountains jersey for good measure

16 miles along the Manifold valley and back, with my eldest (5) on a tag-along. I'm ashamed to say I was pretty tired by the end.
