All OK (apart from slippy descents!) until Honister. Stopped there for a few minutes to sort out bum bag, drink etc and then couldn't get going again. Happy with my time though (4h 19m), up for more of the same next year defo.

Great to meet foumites, sorry to all who had to bomb out.
we must've been right together down the finish there

I really loved it - especially the Elevator Route down from Scafell P to the Corridor Route

Went for three world-class burtons, one of which gained me 2 places as I whooshed past them on my arse, and one that ended up with a gashed hand that meant I got tea and sympathy from the nice St J's Ambulance ladies. Perfect!

    A brilliant race
Well done to all who finished. It is a toughie

I had a bad start and felt ill climbing Bessyboot. Decided to pack it in at Esk Hause but threw some of those magic beans down my throat and it seemed to do the trick. After blasting down the scree and taking the grass most of the way down the C route and cutting the corner off to get to Joss and his lovely Mars Bars I was back on track. Couldnt quite get to purpleplodder going up gable and I found myself alone at the summit.
I mis calculated the bearing to the trod and lost about 4 / 5 mins.

Well done Geoff on your prize but there was some other noteworthy achievements from Pennine
    .

Alan B winning a prize and having to run the race with half a shoulder missing

Dave Harvey having just eaten a full english 20mins before the start being cajouled by me at quarter two to sign on the race and get it done.
    well done Dave

And Andy Howie a prize for the largest bumbag EN ROUTE

err I've been in hiding! Not sure 7th from last is a great time ML given others are moaning about not breaking sub 4 or sub 4:30 or whatever but like I said I started, ended, didn't get lost or die so it is what it is. I'll try harder next time....... if there is one?! Thanks for the sentiment though

of course thanks goes to the organisers and Marshalls

Well done Emmi - I'd say that was a hard bastard of a route to be honest [/understatement]
