Yeah, it was really weird. I wasn't aware of any cut offs at all, none were mentioned at registration or in the starter's announcements.

I was told afterwards that they were posted up in the hall somewhere, although I always make a point of checking the posters and I only saw an advert for the Pete Bland map.

Anyway, we were timed out at CP3. To be fair I'd ambled a bit, wanting to have a fast second half. There were 5 others in my immediate area and a few behind. The marshall took our numbers as retirements. We nearly turned back, but realising we were half way we carried on. The marshall ok'd this but warned us that CP4 would be long gone by the time we got there.

Strangely not only were the (lovely) team at checkpoint 4 still there, but they were cheerfuly unaware of any cut offs and told us we were going well! Same at 5 and 6.

Then at the finish no one was aware of any cut off times so we were told we had a finish time!

All very confusing, but we were definitely told that 1:30 was the time at CP3.
