    Sea swimming

    Today I conquered my fears and swam out to sea with my youngest son. Hurrah, yippee. It was amazing.

    Second triathlon I did in the 80s was a sea swim off Sunderland in May. First time I'd ever swam in open water......what you might term a short learning curb.

    Yikes no (well not that I saw!) I definitely need moral support to deal with those!!!

    But there were bigish rolling waves that crashed onto the beach. No messing - I dived straight into the first big wave that came my way and was in before Sam.
