Thanks DinoF. Why not wear a Garmin and we can compare notes.

I may well do - it's just my 205 is still quite new and I will probably fall over a few times.

I have the Lakesrunner map which states 12 miles and the Pete Bland map that states 13 miles. When I'm running it I'm hoping for 12 miles and when I'm telling the tale to others it'll be 13 miles.

think I did quite well round the back of the Carrs and down to 3 Shire Stone
which I reached in 2:08, so to make the 2 hour cut-off I'll need a better line up Wetherlam, drier underfoot/better choice of shoes plus "race head" on - I'm predicting 1:57
I've got to 3 Shires Stone now on three separate recce's of this route (only completing the course on my latest attempt with Young Al Fowler) and so far have never made it in the alloted two hours (2:10 on the last attempt). I'm hoping for a dry day and a good route up Wetherlam. Daz you'll have to be my marker as I'm aiming to hit 3 Shires Stone in 1:59:50.

in that case, keep a look out for a black/white Fell Ponies vest stumbling along near the back - we can shout abuse at each other to stop us falling off the pace

Anybody else want to join the "Scrape The Cut-Off" Pace Group ?

I think that might be a hangover from previous years when the junior races have been held - there were no flags last year.
