XC season starts up here in 3 weeks...cant wait

got train from bamford to edale and ran back via ringing roger and win hill - absolutely jiggered (i blame the hoegarden).

does anyone know why ringing roger is called ringing roger? (please feel free to make up answers)

I believe it is to do with the way the wind blows through the rocks up there

great..only saw a couple of other folks..so largely had the place to myself

First of Nicky's winter series last night. Just over 6m from Bolsterstone. Pipped to the post by Mr Bell, he flew past on the last 1/2mile uphill stretch. 44m 21s for me, a good 6mins quicker than the same race last winter.

Ran up to Bolton Abbey and back along the river, perhaps 7miles. Saw a kingfisher so pleased I went out
