    Re: Todays Bike Ride

54 miles tonight and had to switch the lights on as I neared home.
Tried those free High 5 tablety thingys that came free with the comic.
Decided to shove one in my mouth as I climbed up to Crich Stand.

Didnt realise you put them in your bottle
My mouth was foaming all over the place..

Now ive got all bloody high 5 foamy stuff on my Rourke. Not good.

Lots of roadkill. At least 4 x squirrels and a few pidgeons. But I squelched over a dead fox. Theres blood on my forks.

It was, 52 this morning on the winter steel bike at 18.5 with 2 others from the club. A recovery bacon + egg but & mug of tea went down a treat when I got back.

Did nothing yesterday, about 1.5 hours on the crosser on Hatterall Ridge on Saturday... Bliddy flying ants were everywhere

As I am tapering for Three Peaks CX, I shall do an easy run followed by an easy road ride today, probably about 45 minutes fell running and 1.5 hrs on the roadbike at slightly less tham tempo pace...

Another 50miles yesterday so that makes over 250miles for the week.
Always the dilema of going back to the bike or running, I find combining both difficult as to get back good on the bike i reckon 400miles a week would be about right for me.

Def toying of ordering a new frame. Mercian could be getting a caLL.

Best get a run in tonight

Dazz, Why? What's wrong with the 953 Rourkie?? Talking to a guy at Wilf's in Staveley on Sunday morning. He was on a 953 fillet brazed Steve Goff with a blend of Dura Ace / 105, Mavic rims on Hope hubs, but traditional 36 spoke. It weighs 17.6 lbs and he's over the moon with it.

Winter mate winter is a coming
The rourky CANNOT and wont be used in winter.

My bianchi has a lot of miles under its belt but Im thinking of taking the bits off that and building a Mercian.
I mean I am due a Mercian. From the age of about 9 i dreamt of one for years but could not afford one.
Not sure what the waiting list is but I bet its about a year .

And I might be changing my Cosmics on my Rourke
