Very pleased to read interest is building for next years Hebden. We have changed the date to Saturday 23rd January to avoid a clash with The Tandem on the 9th. As usual details can be found at www.alangreenwood.biz/index.html The route is just about the same as the last one except for the inclusion of a small short cut on the first section and a diversion near the end which by-passes the nasty little steps. We shall waymark Whams Wood again but that will be all. Same people as before. Apple crumble and custard again along with the other usual grub. A welcome to all you runners old and new.
Thanks to Merrylegs for introducing me to 'beer beer beer' cannot get the b----y tune out of my head now. It should have a health warning!

Any chance of including large short cuts on the rest of the sections?

I've not signed up yet as I'm checking to see when the White Holme Circular is on. How do you choose between an Alan Greenwood event and an Allan Greenwood event? As Swoop might say, it's one L of a decision.

yes I saw the 21.5 miles in the route description. OK, I can live with 5,000ft over that distance - I think

It's a series of quite a few climbs and descents up and down the valley sides. Lovely way to get to know Calderdale and great training for PPP, Haworth Hobble, BGR etc
