    Re: The Hebden Jan 3

This time I'm going to get round & keep running to the end. Tried this one twice, once a few years ago when I wasn't fit enough & had to walk the last bit. Then this year I was going well but pulled a calf muscle on the frozen cattle tracks on the climb up towards Stoodley Pike, & had to pull out. I just love these Calder Valley runs - intricate, changing all the time, there's no time to get bored. And no flat bits.

So far, there are 8 runners registered for the full 22 miler, and unless I'm mistaken, at least 6 of those are Masters on this very forum...
Is this safe? Shouldn't we enter different events, like the royal family travelling on separate aeroplanes?

    Make that 9 and 7!
At least I've now got an incentive to get off my backside and start training properly!
    See you all there.

Registered for the event but a mere Member on here, therefore expendable. Will take a bullet for the team if that's what's needed.

Not necessary, Duff. Members are the Masters of tomorrow.

Or to put it another way, Masters are merely Members who put way too little time into running and way too much into writing about it .

The 'Forumites at The Hebden' stats are getting pretty impressive now!
