My first navigation conundrum- how to get there! Never been and all the roads from north and east look tortuous. Anyone with LK suggest a route (from Sheffield actually)?
Also thinking of stopping over somewhere within an hours drive - we've a late start. Cheers

M6/M54/A5/A458/A483. Stay in Llandrindod Wells...plenty of hotels as it is the Mid Wales conferencing town.

Thanks for that- I'd asked 3 different websites and got 3 answers. I'm hoping a complete lack of LK will actually be of benefit (in the fog?)- It's a theory anyway.

If there's good visibility on the day, you can see for miles up there. Simply follow the other 300 in front of you. If dense fog ....... all in the same boat .

Latest forecast - very wet, very windy, and cloud down to 500m or less. But maybe some sunshine on Sunday

    Saturday

It will be a cloudy day with occasionally heavy rain and widespread hill fog. South to southwest winds will be strong, perhaps gusting to gale force at times above 500 metres.

    Sunday

Sunday will be brighter with sunny spells and a few scattered showers. Southwesterly winds will be strong and gust to gale force near showers.
