Enjoyed it today. Nice encouragement from BGSec and some more 'robust' words from Stagger Good to see Ady back on the hill and running well. Belting pint of Buttertubs in the Kings

I think I will change my avatar to "Wheezing Alf". That climb was tough trying to run it !

Thanks to organisers and helpers, they had a good turnout to reward their efforts.

Oh aye, very nice, do a lot of walking with family around that area, especially Buckden.

Camped there a couple of times. Only an hour from here.

Thanks to the organisers and marshalls firstly, quite a lot turned out. That initial slog up to Hag Dike was worse than i remembered and fortunately my knee gave me only mild discomfort but i'll still have to keep off it for a while. Think i spotted a forumite, Ady in Accy; silver hair, tats?-he beat me although i was taking it rather easy as my first foray out in 6 weeks.

Went arse over tit on the flat section above Hag Dike on the descent much to the amusement of a couple behind me, my foot slipped into one of those peaty ruts and i spun out into a stinking bog. Managed to save some face by turning it into a sort-of Judo Roll though . Was surprised how fast that young Mel was, sheesh, whatever you do don't start smoking!

Did your shoes last out DT???? Forgot to enquire in the pub (probably 3 more years left in 'em ).

1st attempt at this short sharp rascal - the summit was a little further off than I expected and for the 1st time in my fell running career nobody actually came past me on the descent - still not got over that!

Thanks to all involved in putting it on, quite a good turn out.
