    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Around 70 miles with the club today. I did about 90 percent on the front on the way out and got us to the cafe at Scorton at 19 average. Got very social on the way back and I peeled off and put some extra miles in visiting a couple of people on the way home (more tea!). Very mild again - can't last.
Leg resting tommoz in anticipation of the ascent up Great Whernside on Saturday.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Just a quick half hour burst round local back roads.
13.8 average speed but all ups and downs. Pleased with it cause 3 weeks ago I did the same route and could only manage 12.9 av.
Oh and had Gt Whernside in the legs from yesterday.
    Pleased with the slight improvement.

Anyone else on these here forums find Victoria Pendleton to be dreamy? I would find the prospect of a night in with her to be near on perfect.

I have just watched Victoria Pendleton racing and her post race interview on the bbc website. She is most delicious and tasty.

Ive met Victoria and to be fair she is a lovely lass but her hard work and commitment are her best qualities for me.

Who the hell describes a woman as delicious and tasty .

Yeah she's great, but i don't understand track cycling at all?

Round and round and round, every day, every hour, on that wooden surface, like a gerbil

How do they do that with-out getting extremely board!

    I just couldn't do it.

I take it you've never been a track runner either?

All I can say is it's different. The focus is on the race itself, not the surroundings. Incredible intensity for a short space of time. It's very different to fellrunning. But equally as rewarding.
