    Re: Today's poet

My love, stay strong and you will do well in life. I love
you and my children deeply. Today and tomorrow let each day grow
and grow. Keep smiling and never give up even when things get you
Down. So in closing my love, tonight tuck my children in bed
warmly. Tell them I love them, then hug them for me and give them
both a kiss goodnight for daddy.

From the film 'Black Hawk Down'

Hey Mossdog, you writing Mr Moon reminded me of my middle nephew Declan. When he was two he loved going outside to see Mr Moon as he always called him

I wrote this one during a long Board of Education meeting in the mid 90's:

    My buttocks have fallen asleep,
And emitted an A sharp beep.
    The note was so shrill,
    It made me feel ill
and frightened a whole flock of sheep.

    You've sussed me DT. I've clearly retained a 2 year old's mentality.

Actually, Mr Moon was pretty cool for the first part of this evening, but now he seems to have called it a night around these here parts.

Thank you. Applause will not be necessary as my audiences are often left speechless and in awe.
    What a build up!

For your next assignment, can you interpret your haiku in expressive dance please? YouTube awaits!
