    Re: snowdon race 2007

Surely it's the organisers perogative to decide whether numbers can be swapped? Some organisers have enough hassles on the day of an event without a bunch of runners turning up expecting to be able to swap details of the entry.
If an organiser (3 peaks springs to mind), wishes to accept numbers being changed then fine, if not, then respect the organisers decision, leave them to get on with the job of making sure the race goes off smoothly and find another race that you can enter!

I would rather people hand their numbers over to others if they can not make it. It annoys me where I see a race has reached its capacity only to find people do not bother to turn up meaning others miss out. I can't believe anyone would have a real problem with numbers being exchanged (as long as you whoever receives the number is of the same sex). RR, I would pay you to take my number off me, be nice to see me winning a race for a change!

Sorry, got my own number for this race. Must point that out to everyone as people seem to like 'grassing' on me.

Wonder how many people who agree to giving numbers to other runners actually organise any events, or do they just expect others to risk a court case if something goes wrong whilst they complain about the rules.

I have just booked into the Royal Victoria Hotel for the Friday night, £27. Anybody else staying?
I haven't done the race before so I'm going to have a jog up and down on the Friday about midday.

    Re: Snowdon

I'm going down friday and camping hopefully provided I can get the day off work. Training is starting to go to plan like I'm running again. 6 weeks ish to get myself from not having run for 6 weeks to being fully race fit and in good shape could be interesting. First track session on tuesday and first hill session on sunday I think
